Custom/Managed Internet

We bring enterprise Managed Services to non-enterprise customers

Moved to a new office or
need a better internet connection?

We’ll help you in any of these distinct scenarios

Areas with Regular Internet Coverage

Choosing the right provider is never easy even when coverage is not an issue. Regular internet providers like Shaw and Telus greatly differ in their offerings in terms of technology behind your connection, reliability, upload speeds, support and other. Each location is different and requires a deeper understanding of available services as well as customer needs. We help you choose the right provider, plan and equipment type, book technicians and make sure the connection meets the requirements to the last detail.

Never allow public wifi equipment to be installed on your premises, even if free. That usually feeds off your own internet connection and only gets used by service providers who sell that traffic to cellphone carriers for wifi calling, Internet of Things and other.

Locations with NO Regular Internet Coverage

Found a perfect office location that meets your needs and rent is very decent but there is no internet available from regular providers?
Don’t dismiss it because we excel at finding a way out.

We work with multiple national and local internet service providers, well beyond the classic Telus or Shaw.

We look at possible custom fiber optic or cable builds, nearby available radio towers, microwave antenna options and other and come up with a custom solution built just for you that usually offers much better internet connectivity than a regular connection. These custom solutions may cost more than regular internet plans but considering rent prices it may actually make a lot of sense. The connections themselves are usually significantly better than regular ones.

Some of the advantages include

  • Dedicated Circuits directly into internet backbone
  • Guaranteed Speed
  • Symmetrical Bandswidth
  • Guaranteed uptime of 99.99 with SLA
  • MTBF of maximum 3h

Ways to achieve are:

  • Custom Fiber Optic builds
  • Custom Coax/Ethernet cable builds
  • Point to Point Antennas between buildings
  • Microwave Antennas pointed to city towers

Winter blizzards or heavy rain conditions do not affect the radio signals, and radio connections are actually faster and more reliable than most fiber optic scenarios.

Areas with poor cellphone signal

As cities become ever more crowded, buildings get taller and spectrum becomes more digitally noisy, it is very common to find yourself lacking cellular signal inside your office building.

Commercial grade wireless

Bigger offices, large warehouses and multiple building properties usually suffer because of poor wireless signals. Don’t pay for multiple internet connections that are not necessary when proper wired networks or wireless solutions are in place. Our tailored wireless solutions will cover your entire enterprise. All endpoints will be continuously managed and automatically directed to the closest access point, best frequency and channel, continuously adapting to the environment.

YVR - A unique story that stands out

Network Shape has been instrumental in connecting a number of commercial buildings to the Internet across Vancouver Lower Mainland. Our projects have ranged from single buildings to large-scale commercial developments, ensuring that tenants have access to the high-speed internet connectivity they need. One of our most interseting accomplishments was facilitating broadband fiber optic internet to the entire YVR (Vancouver International Airport) campus. Until 2019, for over 25 years, the hundreds of businesses operating on the campus and serving the airport – 10 to 50 employees each – were limited to only Telus ADSL internet. Telus offered a maximum speed of 25Mbps download and less than 1Mbps upload, with no improvements in sight.
Recognizing the challenges faced by businesses on the YVR campus, Network Shape took the initiative to find a solution. We leveraged our years-long existing relationships with customers in the area and worked closely with the Airport Authority and Shaw Cable and developed a plan to bring symmetrical Gigabit internet to every building on the campus. The innitiative broke Telus’ monopoly over the city gates and provided businesses on the YVR campus with access to high-speed internet that was orders of magnitude faster than what they had previously. This upgrade had a transformative impact on the companies operating on the campus, enabling them to improve their productivity, enhance their customer service, and compete more effectively in the digital marketplace.
